a show (group) – BASEMENT…

Basement Gallery, UC Davis, Summer 2002:

Prior to the start of the first semester of graduate school he, along with the other 7 new graduate students, was in a group show in the Basement Gallery in the main art building. He grouped 5 pieces as a mini-”installation”. Both decisions – the grouping and installing – though intuitive decisions, were significant – eventually all his work would become one all-encompassing ongoing “installation” of expanding and contracting groupings.
