UP ARROW, VERTICAL LINE 1; JUN 2005; 1 3/16″x 2″x 8 1/2″; marker ink, masking tape, duct tape, particle board fragments. These duct tape fragments were originally used to tape together 16″x 20″ pieces of particle board which, when stored, were stacked to a height of 37″ or when pieced together into a “flat” plane and used as the base/stage for installation/performance entitled BEATING THE DEAD HORSE measured 120″x 96″. The pieces of particle board were given away and the duct tape fragments were not.

17 (OR SO) LAMPSHADE WIRE SUPPORTS; 2002; 9″x 9 1/8″ diameter; metal, lampshade fragments. In the year 2000 in Naples, Florida I happened upon a large trash dumpster full of lampshades. I took them.

A KINK; Fall/Winter 2004; 6″x 24″x 1 1/2″; 8 pieces of black tape, plastic bag, ink, rubber hose (FSP part no. 96743JY), hard plastic adaptor fragment, paper index card, more ink. The kinked hose was left behind by the handyman who worked on our washer in the fourplex we rented in the foothills of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
